The path overseas

In Canada and the USA, lacrosse is a big sport with junior leagues, college teams and the professional NLL. We help players who are serious about it get there for training, studies and scholarships.

How it works

  1. You play with us

First you get better with us: practices, the Czech league, tournaments. The national team opens more doors.

  2. We choose the path

Together we figure out what suits you: a junior team in Canada, a school in the USA or a summer camp.

  3. We prepare you

We help with game footage, contacts to coaches, references and applications.

  4. You head off

And we keep our fingers crossed. When you come back, the national team will need you.

Straight talk

We cannot guarantee a scholarship to anyone. It depends on your game, your grades and your English. But we can show you how to go about it, and we know people who coach and make decisions overseas.

High school in the USA · 3 years · hockey, football, lacrosse

I played hockey from the age of three and, like every young hockey player, I dreamed of a career overseas. That dream came true when I was picked for a high school in the USA, where I spent three years.

The American sports system focuses on versatility: alongside hockey in winter, we played football in autumn and lacrosse in spring. I knew nothing about lacrosse before, but I fell in love with it straight away. When my hockey path in the USA did not go the way I had imagined, I chose university studies over an uncertain journey through the lower leagues.

My love for team sports stayed, though. I found out that lacrosse is played in Slovakia too, and since it is amateur here, I could play it alongside my studies and later alongside work. It brought me one more big moment: the chance to wear the jersey with the double cross. As a little boy I longed for that while watching hockey idols like Ján Lašák. And so another sporting dream came true.

University in the USA · 1 year · 25 % athletic and 25 % academic scholarship

I decided to go to the USA to study and continue my hockey career at the same time. I arranged the whole process completely on my own, without exchange programmes or agents.

I was lucky that the first school I contacted was close to my teammate from the 2018 World Championship in Israel. Within a week of the first contact I had an interview, and based on it they admitted me without needing an English exam. I got a 25 % athletic and a 25 % academic scholarship.

Although I only spent one year there, it was one of the best decisions I have ever made.
